Ralph Corman grew up on a farmhouse located where the causeway currently bisects Lake Monroe. He taught at the Friendship School for 37 years and was deeply tied to the region. Corman told Morrison that the flood waters never reached his home since it was set up high enough, but that didn’t save the house from eminent domain.

Corman was a relative of Mary Hays and provided Morrison with background information and directions to the existing structures on Knightridge Road.
